2. Use of our website
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, servers or any connected systems.
- Introduce viruses, malicious code or automated tools that disrupt the site.
- Copy, scrape or reuse our content, photos or vehicle listings for commercial purposes without written permission.
- Submit false, misleading or abusive information through our forms.
3. Vehicle listings and pricing
We take care to keep listings accurate, but descriptions, photographs, prices, mileage, specifications and availability may change or contain errors. Listings are an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer.
A sale is only agreed when we confirm it in writing and you have paid the agreed price or deposit. Prices include VAT where stated. We reserve the right to correct any pricing or description error before a sale is completed.
4. Enquiries, viewings and test drives
Submitting an enquiry does not reserve a vehicle. To test drive a vehicle you must hold a valid UK driving licence and may be asked to show it, along with proof of address. Test drives are covered by our insurance subject to its terms and may be refused at our discretion.
5. Deposits and reservations
Where we agree to reserve a vehicle for you we may ask for a deposit. The terms of any deposit, including whether it is refundable, will be confirmed in writing at the time. Your statutory rights are not affected.
6. Part exchange and Sell Your Car
Any valuation we give is an estimate based on the information you supply and is subject to a physical inspection and history checks. If the vehicle differs from the description, we may revise or withdraw our offer. You confirm you are the legal owner of any vehicle you offer to us and that it is free of outstanding finance unless you tell us otherwise.
7. Finance
We act as a credit broker, not a lender, and can introduce you to a selection of finance providers. Finance is subject to status, affordability checks and acceptance by the provider, and is only available to persons aged 18 or over. You may be asked to provide further documents. Full finance terms are set out by the lender before you sign any agreement.
8. Servicing, repairs and diagnostics
Quotes are estimates unless confirmed as fixed prices. We will contact you for approval before carrying out additional work. Parts and workmanship are covered by any warranty we provide in writing. We may keep a vehicle until the agreed charges are paid.
9. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Vehicles supplied by us must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If you buy at a distance, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days of receipt, subject to the regulations.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, logos, graphics and images, belongs to Chingford Motor Group or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.
11. Limitation of liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website, or for the content of third-party websites we link to.
12. Privacy and cookies
Our use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The version on this page applies from the date shown above.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your home country says otherwise.
